Wednesday Lilac Surprise

This illustration is a part of a series.

I had an idea to create some monsters of the weekdays and assigning colours and the basic feelings as well. Since, these are the most loved and applied tools I use throughout my artworks. I'll buy a laser printer when I've got a job and will try to sell them as postcards.

Art test for Zeptolab

I made an art test for  Zeptolab for a 2d artist position.

They picked someone else :( Well, never mind. I had some fun making the background and the female character, so I guess it's ok. I still hope they would use it in their games in the future.

 I'm doing an other art test for an other company now. Let's see how it will go.

I've used the silhouette technique for this digital drawing. I had some free time and I've just played around, love the technique, because it's more intuitive, unconscious.

I've been working on a new project. My friend asked me if I could develop some illustrations for her website, she is in the fashion business. Here are some pictures of my process.  She will be a blond girl with long hair.

Pelican Postman

One week past and I didn't finish my challenge as I supposed to and I realized that my character is rigid, not loveable enough and his facial expressions aren't human like. So I decided to continue developing it.

I gave myself a challenge, to create a pelican character who is a postman and his hobby is fishing...etc. I've realized a lot of things while I was coming up with his personality as such. I came to understand that I know this character already...etc.
